Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Car Detailing?
Car detailing is the process of thoroughly cleaning, restoring, and protecting the interior and exterior of a vehicle to its original (or close to original) condition. It goes far beyond a typical car wash and focuses on achieving a showroom-quality shine and long-lasting protection.
Why Should I Get My Car Detailed?
There are three main reasons to get your car detailed:
Make Your Car Look Amazing: Detailing gives your car a showroom shine and removes minor scratches and swirls.
Protect Your Investment: A protective coating shields your car’s paint from future damage and makes cleaning easier.
Increase Resale Value: A well-maintained car looks better and sells for more money.
What Packages Do You Offer?
At Epic Detail, we offer four main packages:
Correction Detail: This detail package is specifically designed to tackle the toughest paint imperfections and elevate your car’s shine to a whole new level.
Enhancement Detail: This detail package is perfect for well maintained / new cars to correct minor paint defects such as light marring and swirls.
Maintenance Detail: This detail is aimed as a six-month treatment for vehicles which have previously been fully detailed.
The Epic Detail: This comprehensive service caters to the most discerning car owners, meticulously restoring your vehicle to its former glory and beyond.
What Is PPF?
PPF stands for Paint Protection Film. It’s a thin, transparent urethane film applied to the exterior of a car to shield the paint from scratches, chips, stains, and other environmental damage. Here’s a breakdown of PPF’s properties and benefits:
Near-Invisibility: Once applied, PPF is virtually invisible to the naked eye, preserving the original look of your car’s paint.
Scratch and Chip Resistance: PPF acts as a sacrificial barrier, absorbing the impact of minor scratches, chips, and debris that would otherwise damage the paintwork beneath.
Stain Repellent: The film repels stains from road grime, bird droppings, and other contaminants, making them easier to remove and preventing permanent marks.
Self-Healing Properties: Some PPF films have self-healing properties. Minor scratches and swirl marks can disappear with the application of heat, keeping your car’s finish looking flawless.
Long-Lasting Protection: High-quality PPF can last for several years with proper care, offering long-term protection for your car’s paint job.
Where Are You Based?
We are based in Nottinghamshire, however, we cater to clients in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and the rest of the UK.
